Tre Ford leads Tiger-Cats into Montreal

The Hamilton TigerCats will start quarterback Tre Ford again when they visit the Montreal Alouettes on Sunday at Percival Molson Stadium. Ford took over after veteran Bo Levi Mitchell was sidelined by an ankle injury that required surgery. Ford threw for 218 yards with a touchdown and an interception in Hamilton’s 2423 win over Toronto last week. He is still seeking his first career victory against Montreal after losing both of his previous starts against the Alouettes while with Edmonton. Montreal enters the game at 51 and has adjusted its defence to deal with Ford’s mobility. The Alouettes also expect return specialist DeVonte Dedmon to make his team debut after missing the start of the season with a hamstring injury. The Alouettes lead the CFL in net offence and have won three straight, while Hamilton sits at 33 and is trying to narrow the gap in the East Division. Both teams said the matchup carries added importance in the standings and for the season series.
