A road maintenance worker was hit by a passing vehicle early Tuesday in York Region, north of Toronto, police said.
York Regional Police said officers were called around 3:15 a.m. to Stouffville Road between Warden Avenue and Kennedy Road after reports that a pedestrian had been struck. Investigators said the person was part of an overnight road repair crew.
Police did not confirm how serious the worker’s injuries were, but said paramedics took the person to hospital. Anyone with information is being asked to contact York Regional Police.
