Leon Black refuses to answer committee questions on Epstein-related NDAs

Former Apollo Global Management CEO Leon Black declined to answer questions about nondisclosure agreements during a House Oversight Committee interview focused on his ties to Jeffrey Epstein, according to committee chairman Rep. James Comer. Comer said the panel issued subpoenas for documents related to the NDAs and for Black to appear for a later deposition. He said the committee believed the information was important to its investigation into Epstein’s network and relationships with wealthy and influential figures. In prepared remarks, Black said he had no knowledge of Epstein’s abuse and insisted he never took part in sex trafficking or paid Epstein for access to women. He also said Epstein provided legitimate tax and estate advice, while his lawyer called the subpoenas a political decision.
