Quebec provincial police are investigating a death that appears to be a homicide after a person was found dead at a home in Shawinigan, Que., on Sunday morning.
Emergency crews were called to a residential area in the SaintGeorges sector around 9 a.m. after reports of an unresponsive person. Police said the person was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Sûreté du Québec has not released the victim’s identity, citing the investigation. Officers have secured the area, and the force’s crimes against the person unit is leading the case. Police are also searching for a person of interest in the LacauxSables area.
