Buyers identified for former Hudson's Bay properties in Vancouver, Calgary and Ottawa

Hudson's Bay properties draw buyers in Vancouver, Calgary, Ottawa and Windsor See which developers are moving on the former stores and what the court may approve next

Court filings show that buyers have emerged for four former Hudson's Bay properties across Canada, including sites in downtown Vancouver, Calgary, Ottawa and Windsor. According to a receiver’s report filed this week, Onni Development Capital Corp. is interested in the former Granville Street store in Vancouver, Astra Real Estate Corp. is linked to the Calgary location, a numbered company associated with Claridge Homes is pursuing the Ottawa site on Rideau Street, and Circle Retail Properties LP wants the Devonshire Mall property in Windsor. The filings do not disclose how much the buyers have offered or what each property may be used for. The receiver says it will ask a court next week to approve the Ottawa sale and seek approval for the other transactions later.
