Trump says MAGA Inc. plans up to $500 million for midterm races
Trump midterm election spending could channel $500 million to GOP campaigns See which House and Senate races may get a major boost before November
President Donald Trump said he plans to direct as much as $500 million from his political operation to support Republican candidates ahead of the November midterm elections.
Trump made the remarks on Friday in the Oval Office, saying the spending would help GOP candidates in competitive House and Senate contests. He said he wanted to use the money to back candidates he believes can win close races.
The pledge comes as MAGA Inc., Trump’s super PAC, reported about $403.5 million in cash on hand as of July 31, according to a Federal Election Commission filing. The group has spent relatively little so far this year, though it has begun some activity in battleground states. Federal rules allow the PAC to keep funds for future elections, including 2028.
