Montreal cat returns home after two weeks at Toronto Pearson airport
Montreal cat Caramel found after two weeks at Pearson Airport See how staff safely captured the missing pet and reunited the family
A Montreal woman says her cat Caramel has been found after spending more than two weeks loose at Toronto Pearson International Airport.
Abir Batikhi was travelling from Jordan to Montreal with four cats on Aug. 17, but only three arrived at Pierre Trudeau Airport. Airport staff later told her that Caramel had escaped in the cargo area after the flight stopped in Toronto before continuing on to Montreal.
Pearson Airport said the cat was found Wednesday night in a cargo facility and safely captured after a worker helped direct the search. Batikhi said the recovery was a major relief and that Caramel is expected to arrive in Montreal on Friday.
