Police identify teenager killed in Toronto shooting

Toronto police have identified a 17yearold boy who was killed in a daytime shooting on Monday afternoon in the Jane Street and Finch Avenue West area.
Officers were called to the scene around 3:30 p.m. and found the teen with gunshot wounds. Police provided lifesaving efforts before paramedics took him to hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
On Tuesday morning, police said the victim was Cashie Auguste. His death is Toronto’s 24th homicide of the year.
