Revolut attackers threaten daily customer data leaks

Revolut data breach exposes customer IDs, selfies, and financial records See what was leaked, who may be affected, and how Revolut says it happened

Attackers claim they have leaked sensitive Revolut customer data online and say they will continue releasing more information each day unless the company pays. The reported leak includes selfies and identity document copies tied to customers such as tennis player Alexander Shevchenko and Gamdom CEO Felix Römer. Revolut also said the exposed records may include names, dates of birth, contact details, account statements, and transaction histories, including Bitcoin activity. Revolut said the incident stemmed from a sophisticated impersonation scam that used a legitimate governmentdomain email address to request information. The company said the breach affected only a limited number of customers and that its systems and customer funds were not affected.
