Trump says U.S. moved bombers from the UK after a threat

U.S. bomber withdrawal from the UK follows a terror threat linked to Iran See why Trump says the move was necessary and low-cost

President Donald Trump said the United States moved its longrange bombers out of the United Kingdom because of a threat he said may have been linked to Iran. Speaking at the White House on Monday, Trump said there was no reason to leave the aircraft in place and noted that relocating them would cost relatively little. The Associated Press reported on Sunday that the U.S. Air Force had withdrawn all B1 bombers from RAF Fairford in southern England after a probe uncovered a planned terror attack. The aircraft were sent back to their home bases in the United States.
