Canada’s Immigration and Refugee Board has ordered the deportation of Abjeet Singh Kingra, an Indian national convicted in a 2024 attack at Punjabi musician AP Dhillon’s home in the Victoria area.
The board said Kingra’s actions — including firing shots into the house and setting vehicles on fire — were carried out for the benefit of the Bishnoi gang and formed part of a wider pattern of violence and intimidation linked to the group in Canada.
Kingra is currently serving a sixyear prison sentence after pleading guilty to arson and firearms charges. The deportation order is not expected to take effect immediately, and he has said he plans to appeal the decision in Federal Court.
