Peel Regional Police shooting in Mississauga leaves officer unhurt See what happened near Torbram Road and how the investigation unfolded
Peel Regional Police say an officer was shot at while investigators were working in Mississauga early Sunday morning.
Police said the incident happened near Torbram Road and Lucknow Drive, where the suspect reportedly pulled out a firearm and fired at an officer. The officer was not hit and was not injured.
Authorities said the suspect was arrested and taken to a local hospital with nonlifethreatening injuries. Torbram Road, between Derry Road East and Drew Road, was closed afterward and police said the shutdown would likely last for some time.
