Prediction market traders on Kalshi expect Coinbase to report secondquarter trading volume below recent highs, with the contract pricing a low chance that volume will top $170 billion.
The outlook comes as bitcoin prices fell in the second quarter, which has weighed on trading activity at the crypto exchange. Coinbase has already posted declines in trading volume in the previous two quarters.
Analysts surveyed by FactSet expect Coinbase's secondquarter trading volume to reach $168.5 billion. Coinbase is scheduled to report earnings on July 30, and the Kalshi contract is resolved using data from Fiscal.ai.
