Police say a twovehicle collision in Mapleton Township, northwest of KitchenerWaterloo, left multiple people dead and several others injured on Friday evening.
The Ontario Provincial Police said a van carrying nine people and an SUV with one occupant collided at the intersection of 4th Line and Wellington Road 12 around 7:30 p.m. All 10 people involved were killed or hurt, and at least three were taken by air to trauma centres.
The intersection is expected to remain closed for much of Saturday while investigators examine the scene and notify next of kin. OPP says it will provide another update at a news conference later in the day.
