Amazon AI assistants reshape everyday hardware with Alexa+ and new devices See how Amazon’s screenless future spans wearables, speakers, doorbells, and silicon

Amazon devices chief Panos Panay said the company is building toward a future where AI assistants play a larger role across everyday hardware, including devices without screens. In a CNBC podcast interview, Panay discussed Alexa+, a more contextual version of Amazon’s voice assistant that is designed to understand users’ needs and help with tasks throughout the day. He said Amazon is thinking beyond traditional app and screenbased interactions as AI improves. Panay also said Amazon is expanding its hardware plans through devices such as speakers, doorbells and wearables, including its acquisition of Bee, a wristband startup. He added that Amazon is also working on semiconductor efforts, including what he described as “endtoend silicon” for some of its consumer devices.
