Major League Soccer defeated Liga MX 43 in the 2026 MLS AllStar Game in Charlotte, North Carolina, earning a second straight win in the annual matchup between the two leagues.
Liga MX scored first, but MLS responded with goals from Son Heungmin, Philip Zinckernagel, and Evander to build a 31 halftime lead. Liga MX cut the deficit in the second half and added a stoppagetime goal, but it was not enough to force penalties.
Son Heungmin was named MVP after scoring twice. Lionel Messi did not take part, with the report noting he was resting after Argentina's World Cup final loss. MLS has now won four of its five AllStar meetings with Liga MX.
