Scarborough motorcycle crash leaves rider dead after SUV collision in Toronto Witnesses and dashcam footage can help police determine what caused the fatal turn

A 47yearold motorcyclist has died after a collision with an SUV in Scarborough on Monday evening, Toronto police said. Police said the crash happened near Neilson Road and Tapscott Road around 5:40 p.m. The motorcyclist was travelling south on Neilson Road when the SUV, driven by an 87yearold man, turned left into a driveway and the motorcycle hit the side of the vehicle. The rider was taken to hospital but died later that evening. Police said the driver stayed at the scene and is cooperating with investigators. Officers are still looking into whether speed or other factors played a role, and they are asking witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to contact police.
