President Donald Trump criticized Jeanine Pirro on Monday after she moved to dismiss a vandalism case involving the Reflecting Pool near the Lincoln Memorial.
Pirro, the U.S. attorney for the District of Columbia, said in a court filing that new information suggested a contractor’s flawed installation, rather than vandalism, may have caused the damage.
Trump said he was disappointed in Pirro and did not clearly answer when asked whether he still supported her in the role. The White House later referred questions back to his Oval Office comments.
