UnitedHealth rose more than 7% after its secondquarter earnings beat Wall Street expectations and the company lifted its fullyear profit outlook. TSMC fell 4% even though it topped earnings estimates, as investors focused on higher capital spending plans and a new $100 billion investment in Arizona.
