Google said it is bringing new ondevice AI capabilities to the Pixel 10 family through its Tensor systemonchip and TPU hardware. The company presented the update during Google I/O India on July 13, 2026, framing the launch as a step toward more private, offline AI processing on mobile devices. The showcase highlighted Gemma 4 E2B for TPU, a lightweight model designed to run locally on the Pixel TPU without sending data off the device. Google also demonstrated agentstyle features and Mobile Actions that can use private voice or text to control phone functions such as Wi‑Fi and maps while remaining offline. Other examples included offline multimodal tools for chat, image analysis, and audio transcription, along with realworld use cases in retail and automotive settings. Google also promoted the Tensor SDK, model resources, and sample code for developers building edge AI applications.
