ChatGPT co-creator launches a new kind of AI
Jev AI streamlines software decisions with fast, low-cost preset outputs Cut hallucinations with confidence scores and see why businesses are adopting it
Diogo Almeida, who helped build the methods behind ChatGPT, has introduced TypeSafe’s Jev, a new AI system designed to work inside software rather than generate openended text. The company says the model is meant for fast, preset decisionmaking tasks such as sorting requests, scoring records, and screening outputs from other AI systems.
According to TypeSafe, Jev returns confidence scores with its answers, runs quickly, and is priced far below many frontier models. The system does not try to act like a chatbot; instead, it chooses from predefined options, which the company says reduces the risk of hallucinations.
The launch reflects a broader push to build specialized AI tools for business workflows. In the same newsletter, Salesforce also unveiled an inhouse reasoning model for CRM tasks, highlighting how major companies are increasingly developing AI systems tailored to specific use cases rather than general conversation.
