Marvell Technology and Flex to Join the S&P 500

Marvell Technology and Flex will be added to the S&P 500 on June 22, replacing Pool Corp and The Campbellās Company, according to S&P Dow Jones Indices.
Marvell, a semiconductor company focused on chips and components used in AI infrastructure, gained in extended trading after the announcement. The company recently drew attention after Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang called it a potential future trilliondollar company and Nvidia disclosed a $2 billion investment in the business.
Flex, which provides contract manufacturing services for electronics, also rose after the index change was announced. The additions reflect the continued growth of technology companies in the benchmark, which has recently included firms such as Veeva Systems, AppLovin, Datadog, DoorDash, and Robinhood.
