Ontario Provincial Police are investigating after a person was found dead near Scouts Valley Trail off Old Barrie Road in Orillia on Tuesday evening.
Police said the death is being treated as suspicious, and the cause has not yet been confirmed. Officers were called to the area around 7:10 p.m. on June 2.
Residents may see a greater police presence near the trail while the investigation continues. OPP is asking anyone with information about recent or ongoing suspicious activity to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
