Israeli UN envoy's Starlink video reaches millions, with large audience in Iran
Starlink video from Israel’s U.N. envoy draws 9M views and sparks Iran buzz See why the clip resonated widely as officials say disinformation tried to blunt it
A video showing Israel’s U.N. ambassador offering a Starlink device to an Iranian representative has drawn about 9 million views across social media, according to analytics shared with Fox News Digital.
The Israeli envoy’s office said the clip received an unusually large audience in Iran, with 39.9% of Instagram viewers located there. The exchange followed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s speech at the U.N. General Assembly, where he held up a Starlink device and delivered a message aimed at the Iranian people.
After the video spread, Danon’s office said online accounts appeared to circulate an older clip of former Israeli U.N. envoy Gilad Erdan to shift attention away from the new post. The office described that activity as disinformation, while saying the reaction suggested the message had resonated inside Iran.
