A fiveyearold boy has died after being struck by a heavy truck in CarletonsurMer, Quebec, according to provincial police. Police said the collision happened around 5 p.m. Monday on private property as the truck was leaving the site and merging onto a public road. The child was riding a small toystyle ATV at the time. The boy was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators spoke with the truck driver, a man in his 50s, and police said there is no indication that drugs or alcohol played a role.
