Stocks making the biggest moves premarket: AeroVironment, Strategy, Merck
AeroVironment stock surges after earnings beat lifts revenue and profit outlook See what drove movers like Digital Realty, Merck and more before the bell
AeroVironment rose sharply in premarket trading after the drone maker reported quarterly results that beat Wall Street expectations for both earnings and revenue. The company posted adjusted earnings of $1.84 per share on revenue of $642 million, above LSEG estimates.
Digital Realty Trust fell after announcing plans to buy a stake in three fully leased data centers from Blackstone in a deal valued at $7.8 billion. The stock also reflected investor reaction to the size and structure of the transaction.
Merck and AbbVie were slightly lower after a Reuters report said a U.S. House committee had opened a probe into whether trials involving the companies in China may have supported the country’s military capabilities. Strategy also declined, giving back part of the previous session’s strong gains, while Sellas Life Sciences extended its recent rise following changes to executive employment agreements.
