LAFC fires coach Marc Dos Santos after poor first season

LAFC fires Marc Dos Santos after a shaky first season and poor results See why the club made the move before its Oct. 10 clash with Vancouver

Los Angeles FC has fired head coach Marc Dos Santos after a disappointing first season leading the club, the team announced Sunday night in Los Angeles. General manager John Thorrington said the decision came after a run of weak results, including a 10 loss at FC Dallas and just one win in LAFC's last nine games in all competitions. The team is sixth in the Western Conference at 1198. Dos Santos, a former Vancouver Whitecaps coach and longtime LAFC assistant, took over from Steve Cherundolo less than a year ago. LAFC has not yet named an interim or permanent replacement, and the club's next match is set for Oct. 10 against Vancouver.
