Tulsi Gabbard said her husband, Abraham Williams, is recovering at home after surgery to remove a rare sacral chordoma, a form of bone cancer. She said the operation lasted nearly seven hours and was successful.
In a post on X on Thursday, Gabbard said Williams was in significant pain after a rough night but had returned home to rest. She thanked supporters for their prayers and messages.
Gabbard previously said she would step down as director of national intelligence to support her husband through treatment and recovery. Her resignation is set to take effect on June 30, 2026.
