Amazon Agentic Shopping Assistant helps retailers add AI chat shopping tools Kate Spade leads adoption for faster setup, branded experiences, and better conversions
Amazon is extending its AI shopping technology to other retailers through a new Agentic Shopping Assistant built on AWS. Kate Spade is among the first brands to adopt the service, which is designed to help stores add conversational shopping tools to their websites and apps.
According to Amazon, retailers can customize the assistant to match their product catalogue, customer base, shopping experience, and brand voice. The company says the package includes architecture guidance, starter code, and support from AWS specialists and integration partners, with the aim of reducing development time.
Kate Spade has introduced an AI Gift Concierge that helps shoppers find gift ideas through a chatstyle interface. Amazon said the assistant is built with services including Bedrock, AgentCore, and OpenSearch, and is intended to support gift shopping by responding to customer input and suggesting products by occasion.
