Ontario Provincial Police say a drug trafficking investigation near Owen Sound led to the seizure of about one kilogram of suspected fentanyl, along with a small amount of suspected methamphetamine.
Police said officers stopped a vehicle on Highway 10 in Grey Highlands on Monday and arrested two people without incident. A search of the vehicle uncovered suspected fentanyl, and later search warrants were carried out at a home and another building in the area.
Investigators say the drugs seized were worth an estimated $250,850 on the street and that the fentanyl amounted to about 10,000 streetlevel doses. A man and a woman now face drug trafficking charges and remain in custody.
