Snap partners with Nvidia, AWS and Salesforce to push AR glasses into enterprise
Snap AR glasses for business aim to bring AI and enterprise tools to work See how Specs with Nvidia, AWS and Salesforce could streamline field tasks
Snap is expanding its augmented reality glasses strategy by working with Nvidia, Amazon Web Services and Salesforce to target business customers. The effort centers on its $2,000 Specs device, which the company wants to position as a computer for work use rather than a consumer gadget.
CEO Evan Spiegel said the partnerships are meant to make it easier for companies to use enterprise software and AI tools through the glasses. Snap is especially looking at use cases such as field service and equipment troubleshooting, where workers could view digital instructions and interact with remote systems.
The company initially introduced Specs in June as a consumerfocused product, but it is now trying to broaden adoption beyond that market. Snap is also launching a consumer AI service called Specs Intelligence, which will work across the glasses, iPhones and Mac computers, with pricing still to be determined.
