Hundreds line up for Vancouver FIFA World Cup Fan Fest
PNE FIFA Fan Festival lights up Vancouver with free match viewing and fun Catch food, music, family activities and watch parties across the city
Hundreds of fans gathered in Vancouver on Thursday for the opening day of the PNE FIFA Fan Festival, as the 2026 FIFA World Cup began.
The free event features large screens for match viewing, food and drink vendors, family activities, live music, and soccerthemed attractions. Some visitors arrived early, with one fan lining up as early as 6 a.m. to secure a spot.
Organizers have added extra security at the site, and the city is working with police and provincial partners to help keep the venue safe. Additional watch parties are also being held in North Vancouver, on Granville Island, and in Surrey.
