Patriotic artist Scott LoBaido is finishing a 9by17foot oil painting of the American flag at the Great American State Fair in Washington, D.C., as part of the America 250 celebration. LoBaido, a supporter of Donald Trump, said the flag is meant to represent the country as a whole rather than any political party. He described the work as possibly the largest oiloncanvas American flag ever made. The painting is on display at the Made in America Pavilion, where LoBaido said visitors from different political backgrounds have talked with him about the flag, the artwork, and the meaning of the nation’s 250th birthday. He said he plans to add the final touches on Independence Day and eventually place the piece in a permanent home.
