BC Ferries says Langdale terminal ramp repair may take up to 10 days

Langdale terminal ramp repairs may take 10 days after a BC Ferries breakdown Book ahead for Horseshoe Bay sailings as capacity drops and standby ends

BC Ferries says repairs to the Langdale terminal ramp on British Columbia’s Sunshine Coast could take as long as 10 days after a mechanical issue disrupted service on Sunday. The problem affected Berth 1 at the Langdale terminal, limiting vehicle loading to the main car deck and reducing capacity on sailings between Horseshoe Bay and Langdale. As a result, BC Ferries said there will be no standby traffic during the repair period, and travel in both directions will be by advance booking only for at least the next week. The company said crews are working to assess and fix the issue while keeping the route operating. The same ramp problem also caused disruptions on May 16, when passengers were left behind and delays built up on the route.
