A TransLink bus crash in North Vancouver on Tuesday morning left the driver and a passenger needing hospital care after the driver reportedly suffered a medical emergency behind the wheel.
North Vancouver RCMP said the bus was heading west on West 3rd Street near Mahon Avenue when it struck several parked vehicles and a tree. Witnesses said passengers were on board at the time.
BC Emergency Health Services responded around 9:30 a.m. with multiple ambulances and paramedics. Officials said one patient was taken to hospital in critical condition and another in serious but stable condition. Police confirmed the driver was the person in critical condition and said the incident is under investigation, with help from the Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service.
