MLS All-Stars beat Liga MX 4-3 as Son Heung-min stars with a brace See how MLS held off a late surge to claim back-to-back All-Star wins

The MLS AllStars defeated the Liga MX AllStars 43 on Wednesday night in Charlotte, North Carolina, with LAFC forward Son Heungmin named the game’s most valuable player. Son scored twice in a threeminute span after Liga MX opened the scoring early through Luis Rey. MLS added two more goals in the second half from Philip Zinckernagel and Evander to hold off a late push from Liga MX. Although Liga MX controlled more of the ball and finished with more shots, MLS kept the lead and recorded its second straight AllStar win against the Mexican league’s best. Lionel Messi and Rodrigo De Paul did not take part after the World Cup schedule kept them out of the match.
