How AI and advanced materials are shaping data centers
Advanced materials power AI infrastructure with better heat control and reliability See how Syensqo uses AI to accelerate safer, sustainable materials discovery
As AI systems grow more powerful, they are putting new pressure on the materials used in semiconductors and data centers. Advanced materials are becoming important to handling heat, improving electrical performance, and supporting reliability as the industry reaches physical limits.
In a sponsored MIT Technology Review conversation, Mike Finelli of Syensqo said the company is developing materials for highvoltage data center systems, semiconductor manufacturing, and immersion cooling. He also described how materials developed for electric vehicles and battery systems can be adapted for AI infrastructure.
The discussion also focused on sustainability and AIassisted research. Syensqo says it uses AI tools to evaluate millions of molecular possibilities, narrow the field for lab testing, and speed up materials discovery while considering performance, safety, and environmental impact.
