One dead, 16 hospitalized after multi-vehicle crash in Cambridge

Provincial police say one person has died and 16 others were taken to hospital after a multivehicle collision in Cambridge, Ontario, on Saturday.
Ontario Provincial Police said officers responded around 12:30 p.m. to Highway 401 near Townline Road. The crash involved nine vehicles, including a transport truck, and forced the closure of all eastbound lanes in the area.
Police said a 44yearold man from Kitchener was among those injured and later died in hospital. The investigation is ongoing, and police are asking anyone with information to come forward.
