Jake Dolegala will make his first start for the Hamilton TigerCats on Sunday against the Saskatchewan Roughriders, coach Scott Milanovich said after Wednesday’s practice.
Dolegala is stepping in for Bo Levi Mitchell, who injured his ankle during Hamilton’s 1413 loss to Winnipeg. Mitchell has since had surgery and is expected to recover, but he remains out indefinitely.
The 6foot7 quarterback has mostly filled shortyardage roles for Hamilton this season. He has played 37 career regularseason CFL games and has previous stops with Saskatchewan and B.C. before joining the TigerCats.
