Ticats edge Argonauts 24-23 at home
Tre Ford powers Tiger-Cats past Argonauts 24-23 with 218 passing yards See how Hamilton won amid smoke delays, line injuries, and a last-second miss
Tre Ford helped the Hamilton TigerCats defeat the Toronto Argonauts 2423 on Saturday night in Hamilton, making his first start for the team. Ford passed for 218 yards and a touchdown and also led the team on the ground with 109 rushing yards.
Hamilton played without a full week of outdoor practice because poor air quality limited preparations. The Ticats also dealt with injuries on the offensive line and had to shuffle several players into new roles.
Toronto had a chance to tie or win on the final play, but kicker Lirim Hajrullahu missed a 31yard field goal. Hamilton improved to 33, while Toronto fell to 24. The teams were briefly taken off the field before kickoff because of wildfire smoke and poor air quality in the area.
