An Air Canada flight from Newark to Halifax was diverted to Boston on Wednesday after the captain experienced a medical emergency during the trip.
Air Canada said the first officer took control of Flight 7664 and landed the De Havilland Q400 safely at Boston Logan International Airport. The airline said the captain was removed from the flight deck under safety protocols and later taken for medical treatment.
The flight was operated by PAL Airlines and carried 61 passengers. Air Canada said it is helping those travelers make new arrangements to continue their journeys as soon as possible.
