Apple rolls out iOS 27 with redesigned Siri AI
iOS 27 and Siri beta add Apple AI tools for iPhone 18 users Opt in via Settings to try smarter search, web help, and more
Apple has released iOS 27 ahead of this week’s iPhone 18 sales, introducing a redesigned Siri AI assistant in beta. Users must opt in through Settings, and some may need to join a waitlist before gaining access.
The new Siri is designed to use ondevice and cloudbased AI to help with tasks such as searching messages, emails, and calendars, as well as answering questions and browsing the web. Apple says the assistant will first be available in English, with support for additional languages expected next month.
Apple is positioning the iPhone 18 lineup as better suited for AI features because of faster chips and access to more personal data on the device. The company also said some cloudbased AI features will have daily usage limits, with higher limits expected to come at a fee later on.
