The Toronto Maple Leafs have signed defenceman Emil Andrae to a twoyear contract reportedly worth US$3.1 million. The deal was announced Saturday, July 4, 2026.
Andrae, 24, played 61 games for the Philadelphia Flyers last season and finished with 13 points. He joined Toronto last month in a trade that sent goalie Joseph Woll and defenceman Simon Benoit to Philadelphia.
Andrae was selected 54th overall in the second round of the 2020 NHL Draft and has 20 points in 107 career games. Toronto general manager John Chayka has been reshaping the roster this offseason, including recent signings of Sergei Bobrovsky, Jack Roslovic, Colton Sissons and Teddy Blueger, as well as first overall draft pick Gavin McKenna.
