Anthropic advances IPO plans as banks arrange investor meetings

Anthropic IPO plans gain momentum as bankers line up investor meetings for debut Test demand early and track a potential AI market milestone before rivals.

Anthropic is moving ahead with preparations for a potential initial public offering, as bankers organize investor meetings ahead of a possible market debut later this year. According to a person familiar with the process, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley and JPMorgan Chase are involved in the offering. The meetings are meant to test investor demand before a formal roadshow and share sale. The AI company confidentially filed its IPO paperwork with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission last month. While CNBC reported that a debut could come as soon as October, the timing is still subject to change. Anthropic’s listing would be a major step for one of the most closely watched AI startups and would likely place it ahead of rival OpenAI in reaching public markets. The company was last valued at $965 billion after a $65 billion funding round in May.
