Dan Ives launches Yorkville Ives merchant bank after leaving Wedbush
Yorkville Ives & Co. launches with AI, tech and capital-raising services Backed by Dan Ives, it blends research and banking to win clients fast
Dan Ives, a wellknown Wall Street technology analyst, has teamed up with Yorkville Securities to start a new merchant banking firm called Yorkville Ives & Co.
The company will bring together investment banking, equity research, institutional trading and principal investing. Its focus will include artificial intelligence, technology, industrials, energy transition and infrastructure.
According to the announcement, Ives will serve as partner and senior managing director, while Roger Briggs will be chief executive officer. The firm plans to provide debt and equity capital raising, merger and acquisition advisory, capital structure services, trading and execution, and independent research. It also intends to invest its own capital alongside clients and partners.
Ives left Wedbush earlier this month after spending eight years at the firm and more than 25 years covering technology stocks. The launch comes as banks look to benefit from rising demand for AIrelated financing and advisory work.
