The Toronto Maple Leafs have signed forward Brandon Duhaime to a threeyear contract on the second day of NHL free agency.
Duhaime, 29, spent last season with the Washington Capitals, where he had four goals and five assists in 82 games. He has appeared in 375 career NHL games with Minnesota, Colorado and Washington.
The team did not disclose financial terms. Toronto was active on the opening day of free agency, also adding several other forwards and veteran goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky, while the Vancouver Canucks made a series of roster moves of their own.
