Artists in Durham Region are getting ready for the annual Fall Art Festival, a free event that will take place in Oshawa next month. Now in its 45th year, the festival will feature more than 50 artists and over 500 works in a range of mediums, including painting, pottery and carving. The Oshawa Arts Association, which has organized the event since 1981, says the show is meant to give visitors an approachable way to view local art and meet the people who make it. The festival will run Oct. 3 and 4 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Camp Samac in Oshawa. Along with booth sales, visitors will also be able to enter a raffle for donated artwork.
