Mistral CEO Arthur Mensch said the company is expanding beyond AI models to data centers and enterprise deployment, as it works to position itself as Europe’s leading frontier AI firm. He made the comments in a CNBC Tech Download podcast conversation with Arjun Kharpal. Mensch said agentic AI, which is designed to carry out complex tasks for users, could change how companies organize work. He argued businesses will need to identify which processes can be automated and where humans should stay involved. He also revealed that Mistral is exploring the design of its own chips, while noting that the company’s infrastructure still relies heavily on Nvidia hardware. Mensch said enterprise adoption of AI remains early, with significant room for further rollout and value creation.
