Ark Invest Says Starlink Could Support a $2 Trillion SpaceX Valuation
SpaceX IPO could near $2 trillion as Ark says Starlink may justify the value See why Starlink, AI infrastructure and falling launch costs could power upside
Ark Invest said SpaceX could be worth close to $2 trillion at its planned IPO, arguing that Starlink alone may justify much of that value. The comments came Thursday from Brett Winton, Ark Invest’s chief futurist, during an appearance on CNBC.
SpaceX has set an IPO price of $135 a share, which values the company at about $1.77 trillion ahead of its Nasdaq debut on June 12. The company plans to sell 555.6 million shares in the offering, with underwriters also able to buy more shares if demand is strong.
Winton said Ark’s view is based on Starlink’s growth potential and its links to artificial intelligence infrastructure. He noted that Starlink already generates about $13 billion in annual revenue and that launch costs could fall further if SpaceX scales its Starship program. Ark also disclosed that SpaceX is its largest holding in the ARK Venture Fund, representing about 11.4% of assets.
