SpaceXAI and Cursor Release Grok 4.5
Grok 4.5 boosts coding, agents, and knowledge work with faster, cheaper AI Try it in Cursor or Grok Build for lower token costs and strong frontier performance
SpaceXAI has launched Grok 4.5, a new model developed with Cursor after the company’s acquisition. The release focuses on stronger performance for coding, agentic tasks, and general knowledge work, while also emphasizing speed and lower token costs.
According to the announcement, Grok 4.5 reaches around 80 tokens per second and is positioned as more efficient than some competing frontier models. Its pricing is set at $2 per million input tokens and $6 per million output tokens, with temporary free access inside Cursor and Grok Build.
Elon Musk described the model as comparable to toptier systems but faster and more costefficient, and said a larger model is expected next month. The release is seen as an important step for Grok, which has often been viewed as behind other leading AI models.
